Experience the convenience of personalized certified contractor consultation and tailored solutions with our service, allowing you to choose the right entry door style for your property.Prepare the Rough Opening: Ensure the opening is approximately 1/2 inch wider and taller than the door frame. The subfloor must be completely level, and the opening must be square and plumb. Install a Sill Pan: A sill pan is placed at the base to direct water away and protect the subfloor from moisture damage. Apply Flashing & Caulk: Use flashing tape to protect the sill and wrap it up the sides of the opening. Apply three beads of elastomeric or polyurethane caulk along the entire length of the doorway before setting the pan. Position the Unit: Set the door frame (usually a prehung unit) onto the sill pan and tilt it upright into the opening.
